Nadine Peckover

Qualified Bookkeeper

After serving in the police for 11 years, family commitments took priority and I turned to my passion for swimming. Starting off as a lifeguard at the local leisure centre I soon became a qualified swimming teacher, lifeguard trainer, teacher trainer and eventually reached the peak of my career in swimming management.

For 6 years I was responsible for the financial affairs of a large local authority swimming operation, budget monitoring, end of the month and year financial reporting, setting budgets, and budget forecasting.

In 2016, I faced redundancy and I was ready for my next challenge. Having enjoyed the finance side of my job, I retrained in accountancy, studying level 2 at college in my spare time, graduating in July 2017. I qualified as level 3 bookkeeper in January 2018.

I am a volunteer with a local not-for-profit organisation conducting bank reconciliations invoicing and report directly to the company accountants for VAT returns, end of year accounts, and payroll. In April 2017 I teamed up with 1 For All Accounting Angels and gained experience in bookkeeping and compliance management, writing the new data protection policy to ensure compliance in readiness for GDPR and delivery of their training in data protection. I recently joined 1 For All Accounting Angels as a Bookkeeper but with compliance knowledge to assist the company and clients with their legal and statutory requirements. I also have experience as a payroll analyst for a large company with knowledge of NI, Tax, SSP, SMP, and HMRC reporting.
